On Tuesday, May 25, 2021, eleven High School students from Del Rio and Comstock were awarded $1,000 scholarships from the Del Rio Rotary Club, after a review of their applications and interviews.
Rotarian/Scholarship Chair David Ortiz presented the awards to the students, who were very impressive. The students worked hard to excel in school during the trying times of the COVID pandemic. Mr. Ortiz encouraged them to "Be Strong and Courageous" (Joshua 1:9) and trust in God as they further their education. Along with the students in the photo are President Chris Ryan, Assistant Governor Gloria Wilson, and Mr. Ortiz.
