The Boerne Sunrise Rotary Club held a Car Show on November 16th that was hosted by Mata’s Concepts located at 33125 Interstate 10 Frontage Road in Boerne. This was the second car show held by owner Hector Mata and his employees supporting the Boerne Sunrise Rotary Club.

It was a wonderful day featuring 75 cars, 3 motor cycles, and one 1937 John Deere Tractor. It was estimated that throughout the day over two hundred folks had the opportunity to view the variety of cars and visit with the owners. Trophies were awarded to the winners by Boerne Sunrise Rotary President Reg Cully and Hector Mata. Rotary club member Rick Reyes was the event coordinator and was pleased with the turnout of attendees and car enthusiasts.
The DJ for this event was “TheKidRC3”. Attendees were treated to two bands that played in the afternoon. The bands were The Contrabandits and Solitary Runaway. There were several vendors selling food and other items.
District Governor Elect Craig Hardy drove out to Boerne from San Antonio to check out the car show and visit with several of the club members. Four members of the Boerne High School Interact Club provided service throughout the day assisting with parking, selling raffle tickets for the 50/50 pot, selling food, and providing clean up at the end of the show.
The net proceeds raised will go various local charitable causes including high school scholarships for students in Kendall County. Some of the local charities that will be impacted are the Kendall County Women’s Shelter, the Hill Country Daily Bread summer leadership program “Stand by Me” and the Shady Rest Mobile Park.
