May is Rotary’s month to celebrate Youth Service—a time to recognize that one of our greatest responsibilities is investing in the next generation of leaders, peacemakers, and changemakers. Across District 5840, our clubs are making a lasting impact through Interact, Rotaract, RYLA, scholarships, mentoring programs, and student leadership opportunities. These efforts do more than support young people academically or professionally—they help shape character, compassion, and a lifelong commitment to service above self.

When we empower youth, we truly Unite for Good. We create opportunities for young people to discover their voice, serve their communities, and understand that leadership begins with caring for others. Whether it is a student leading a service project, a young professional finding purpose through Rotaract, or a scholarship recipient pursuing their dreams, Rotary is planting seeds that will grow for generations.

Youth Service is also one of our strongest pathways to Unite for Peace. Peace is not simply the absence of conflict, it is the presence of understanding, opportunity, and hope. By mentoring young leaders and teaching the values of respect, inclusion, and service, we help build communities where peace can thrive.

As Rotarians, we are called not only to lead today but to prepare leaders for tomorrow. Let us continue opening doors, sharing wisdom, and creating spaces where young people can grow into servant leaders who will carry Rotary’s mission forward.

The future of Rotary—and the future of peace—depends on how well we serve our youth today.

Let us continue to Unite for Good and Unite for Peace by investing in those who will shape the world ahead.
