The Rotary 5840 District Conference on 6 May is fast approaching. Please sign up as soon as possible as seats are limited. This conference is for all Rotarians and serves as a celebration of the Rotary year. The Conference will be at the UTSA Sports complex with UTSC Coach Carol Torok as guest speaker.
Please wear your Favorite Professional sport jersey/shirt to the evert during the day. This one-day conference will clearly be a touchdown with additional training provided for our next year’s leadership team. In addition, we will highlight some well-deserved Rotarians, with some great District 5840 awards like Rotary Club of the Year, Club President of the Year and many more. You will get your money’s worth with Pastries for breakfast, box lunches and pizza/chicken for a departing meal. Plus, an opportunity to spend some time with Rotary peers.
As we wind down this Rotary year, please stay focused on your Rotary Club goals. Keep those amazing service projects in mind for completion. Continue to reach the Foundation and Polio Plus goals. Also, stay steadfast on maintaining and getting more members in rotary so we finish the year as an overall plus in membership.
If you have not considered signing up for Rotary Direct, please think about. This is one easy method to make monthly donations to the Rotary Foundation. If just 100 people in our district sign up for Rotary Direct today, we would reach our annual goal of Rotary members signed up in the program.
Lastly, thank you so much for all you do in the local communities, all-around District 5840 and the world with Rotary International. I remember thinking as I attended a small dinner gathering with Rotarians from the Rotary Club of San Antonio Alamo Ranch, how blessed and honored I am to be in an organization with such kindhearted and amazing People. I could feel the passion of Rotarians at the table. People who perform such great selfless acts to improve lives in communities and ask nothing in return. Simply blessed.
