Rotary District 5840 proudly joined thousands across our communities in the annual Walk to End Alzheimer’s, taking meaningful steps toward a world without this devastating disease. With Rotarians representing clubs from every corner of the District, the energy, compassion, and dedication on display truly embodied our motto of Service Above Self.

This year, our participation carried extra excitement as a Hallmark movie star took the time to send a heartfelt video message thanking our Rotarians for stepping up and making a difference. Their gratitude is a testament to the impact our District continues to make—both locally and beyond.

During the walk, Rotarians donned purple, carried promise flowers, and walked in honor of loved ones, caregivers, and families affected by Alzheimer’s. Many clubs also contributed through fundraising efforts, volunteer support, and community outreach, amplifying Rotary’s role as a champion for awareness and hope.

While the Walk itself may be complete, our commitment to supporting Alzheimer’s research, care, and education continues year-round. Thank you to every Rotarian who participated, donated, or encouraged others to join the movement. Together, District 5840 is helping create a future defined by compassion, progress, and ultimately—a cure.
