We are so pleased to be able to continue recognizing our wonderful area 1st responders and awarding these agencies with funding for continued education and training.
Thank you to the Rotary Club of Kerrville for hosting the annual First Responders Luncheon today. Awards were given this year to our Criminal Investigation Division and Special Investigations Unit for their work in bringing numerous criminals to justice in the past year. Venesa Schmidt was also honored for her work in the Kerr County Jail. We appreciate our Rotary community in Kerrville for their commitment to our first responders.

Sheriff Leitha spoke to those gathered, saying in part, "In the last year, we have been blessed to receive over $9000 dollars in training funds from this Rotary Club. The training they have provided has built our capabilities in leadership, gang interdiction, administration, leadership, and even our Special Response Team.

The Kerrville Noon Rotary has had a direct effect on public safety and officer readiness, and our Office thanks Rotary for partnering with us to protect the citizens of Kerr County. Our relationship reflects the highest ideals of the public and law enforcement working together to serve.
