The Rotary Club of Fredericksburg Morning recently donated $5,000 to the Jeremiah 29:11 Foundation. The Foundation is in the process of building a youth community center called The Hive Collective. A temporary location for the Hive is operating on North Llano St.
“Our club believes in supporting our youth,” said Marc Bennet of Fredericksburg Morning Rotary. “The Hive’s promotion of literacy and the need for library components drove our board’s decision to make this donation”.
The Hive Collective is a 501(c)(3) community-centered space in Fredericksburg designed to inspire youth, support families and bring people together.
“After seeing just how great the need was, we opened this ‘mini Hive’ as a first step toward our larger vision,” said Melodi Turner, board member of The Hive. “Here, we offer classes, free play, free daily snacks, gardening education, and a dedicated teen space—creating a safe, welcoming place for connection, creativity and growth.
