Johanna Hansen to be Honored

The Rotary Club of San Marcos honors Johanna Hansen in November as its 5th Major Donor to the Rotary Foundation. She will be honored at the club’s meeting on November 6, when former District Governor, Jerry Hardy,  presents a program about the Foundation in observance of Rotary Foundation Month.
 Johanna has been a San Marcos Rotarian for more than 30 years, with more than 30 years of perfect attendance. Her total donations to the Foundation over the years climbed over $10,000 in October, qualifying her as a Major Donor.
 
She asked that a significant amount of her donations be used to fund water and sanitation projects by the Rotary Foundation, a Rotary area of focus that she has been interested in for years.
 
Johanna has served in a variety of roles in the San Marcos club, including Club President. She was also actively involved in education and literacy projects at the Rotary District level. and she has hosted more than a dozen Rotary Youth Exchange students while also sending two of her own children abroad as part of Rotary Youth Exchange.
