The Rotary Club of Kerrville, in partnership with the Kerr County Sheriff’s Office, has taken an important step toward enhancing public safety by providing a state-of-the-art Responder-class drone to local first responders. The project was made possible through Rotary District flood-relief grant funding and reflects Rotary’s ongoing commitment to supporting community needs through innovative solutions.

The advanced drone technology will provide first responders with real-time aerial views during emergency situations, allowing them to quickly locate missing persons, assess flood damage, monitor hazardous areas, and improve overall response efforts. By providing critical information from above, the drone will help emergency personnel make informed decisions while increasing both efficiency and safety during rescue and recovery operations.

This project is a shining example of the power of collaboration between community organizations and local law enforcement. Through the dedication of Rotary members and the leadership of the Kerr County Sheriff’s Office, Kerr County is better equipped to respond to emergencies and protect its residents.

By investing in tools that strengthen emergency preparedness and disaster response, the Rotary Club of Kerrville continues to demonstrate Rotary’s commitment to Service Above Self and to building a safer, stronger community for all.
