This past week, the Rotary Club of Kerrville - Morning (Morning Rotary) provided lunch for the interns, staff and volunteers at the Christian Women’s Job Corps, Kerr County (CWJC) and joined them for a special time of connecting over the meal.
“We had a great time hosting lunch for these incredible women. In the short time we interacted, it was amazing to see the positivity, encouragement and hope instilled in each of the interns. CWJC is a huge asset to our community and we are honored to support them any way we can,” said Jon Tilley, Morning Rotary President.

According to Ann Buck, CWJC Executive Director, 60 meals are needed each semester, and all are graciously supplied by volunteers. “On behalf of the Christian Women’s Job Corps, Kerr County, I would like to thank the Morning Rotary for bringing lunch to the CWJC interns on Thursday, October 17th.  Your generosity meant our interns were not only fed well, but they were able to meet and interact with local businessmen and businesswomen of Kerrville. Meeting the Rotary members over lunch encouraged our interns to express themselves professionally and share their hopes for employment.  Thank you, Kerrville Morning Rotary,” said Buck.

Karen Mooney, CWJC Board Member, presided over the meal and kept the conversation flowing.  “I am passionate about Christian Women’s Job Corp and the women we serve. Seeing them transform during the 12 weeks is the most exciting aspect of volunteering for the program. I love to see lives change for the better,” said Mooney.
