Dear Governor Holmes,

Mexico is now on a long road to recovery after two powerful earthquakes earlier this month, followed by aftershocks that occurred over last weekend.

When disaster strikes, Rotarians reach out and ask how they can help. Rotary International staff contact district governors in affected areas to determine how best to direct any offers of aid.  They have been working diligently with governors all over the world to help address recent natural disasters. To help in Mexico, a donor advised fund has been created to accept contributions for earthquake relief efforts.

If you would like to help, please go to the following link to contribute online: https://www.your-fundaccount.com/rotary/HowToContribute.asp. You will need to provide the following information when making your donation: The Mexico Earthquake Recovery Fund, account number #613.

To contribute by wire transfer, please contact The Rotary Foundation Planned Giving team at +1-847-866-3100 or planned.giving@rotary.org.

As a reminder, contributions can only be made in U.S. dollars and cannot be made by money order or cashier’s check.

Please share this information with your fellow Rotarians and Rotary clubs. If you have any questions, contact relief@rotary.org.

Best regards,

Ian Riseley
President, Rotary International 2017-18
