Are we ready to help our currently projected attendance of 2500 handicapped children at Morgan's Wonderland on Halloween evening October 31, 2021? Hopefully the answer is - YES WE ARE!! We are so excited since this year we are BACK IN THE PARK!
We are in need of:
- Volunteers to work the event
- Candy Donations
- Monetary Donations to purchase the Candy
If you are a Club in or outside of the San Antonio area and wish to make a monetary donation (We need all we can get), please make out your checks to Morgan's Wonderland (fully deductible) and put in Comments: Candy Donation - Rotary Halloween Night! You can then mail it to: Jo Ann Browne - 4926 Research Drive - San Antonio, Texas 78240 (I will keep a list of all monetary donations before handing them over to Morgan's Wonderland).
The doors to the public will open this year at 4:30pm. In an effort to strongly follow all CDC Guidelines, we will keep volunteers at a minimum. Volunteer sessions will be from 4:15p-6:30p and 6:30p-9pm. Please arrive at the Park at least 15 minutes before your shift starts.
We will put 2-3 adults at each table (we have 12 tables). I will need 36 Adults to Volunteer for each shift to man the tables. I will also need 2 Volunteers for each shift at the Volunteer Sign-In table at the front door.
Our Interact Groups lead by Mike Canales will assist during this great event by filling only 2 Volunteer slots per Table (24 Volunteers per Shift). Interactors will be responsible for keeping their one (1) table throughout their Shift provided with Candy (there will be two (2) Interactors per table, per shift).
We only have a short period of time to get this done so PLEASE approach your Club and FRIENDS as soon as possible.
