Rotary Club of New Braunfels recently completed an international wellness trip to Piedras Negras, Mexico, where they checked the health and wellness of 40 local children at two local schools, and provided them with Christmas gifts.
The trip was organized by club member Bill Biggadike and supported by Mision de Candililla, a non-denominational Christian medical mission organization. Club member Horacio Lucero and his dental hygienist Steve Bultje provided dental exams, member D. Lee Edwards' wife Caryne Edwards, RN, along with two doctors, provided wellness checks, and Bill Biggadike administered hearing tests. Christmas gifts were purchased and wrapped by members Norma Blackwell, Lisa Fredrickson, and Kathy Bearden.

Following the wellness exams, members of the team debriefed over lunch provided by the Rotary Club of Piedras Negras and a check was presented by the Rotary Club of New Braunfels to Mision de Candililla to cover the medicines that were provided to the children.
