The Wheelchair Project resulted from an anonymous donor who wanted the donation specifically for wheelchairs. Donor sent half of the container price to the Wheelchair Foundation and Rotary Club of New Braunfels matched the balance.
Wheelchairs were ordered in December of last year. Alex Ozuna found 10 volunteers who want to go to Zacoalco and distribute the wheelchairs. We were originally scheduled for distribution this month but was cancelled due to covid-19. The trip is now scheduled for Dec 3rd. Hopefully things have settled down by then. The Zacoalco Club is an hour south of Guadalajara.
