The Rotary Club of San Antonio was honored to join in the end of year Nurturing Hope San Antonio reflection and celebration! Together with Scholars and Faculty from UTSA, The Alamo Colleges District Northwest Vista College, and Trinity University, we discussed how rising young peace leaders are equipped with skills in diplomacy and Rotary’s #PositivePeace principles!
Nurturing Hope SA is a citywide conversation on civic discourse. This year-long leadership program brings together Scholars to develop skills in #communication -&- teamwork including:

•    Conflict resolution
•    Critical thinking
•    Problem-solving & self-expression
•    Collaborative cultural exchange

Inspired by our Nurturing Seeds of Hope peace and reconciliation curriculum as based in Northern Ireland’s beautiful Corrymeela, Nurturing Hope SA fosters dialogue on Home, Unity, Belonging and of course Hope to help build connections across diverse backgrounds, ideologies and traditions.

Through campus meetings and community engagement, Scholars participate in meaningful discussions on civic discourse, equality and humanities; culminating in their own Student-led initiatives, designed to cultivate further dialogue and address key issues facing San Antonio, such as equity.

With Jack McGuire, Kelley Frost, Buddy Parsons, David Schoepf, Joe McKeon, Mark Figart, Dr. Andrew Hill, Cindy Urshan and many more!
