On Saturday, September 26, members of the Rotary Club of San Antonio North Central rolled up their sleeves for a community trash pickup at Walker Ranch Historic Landmark Park in San Antonio. Our members spent the morning collecting litter throughout the park and helping care for a space that is enjoyed by families, walkers, runners, and neighbors throughout our community.
The project was simple, hands-on service with an immediate impact: leave a place better than we found it. It was also a great opportunity for our members to serve together, enjoy some fellowship, and put Rotary’s commitment to protecting our environment into action right here at home. Sometimes service doesn’t have to be complicated. A few Rotarians, some trash bags, and a willingness to get to work can make a visible difference in our community.
