One highlight was the Pints for Polio fundraiser on October 23 at Tusculum Brewing Company in Boerne, supported by the Rotary Clubs of Boerne, Boerne Sunrise, Dominion, and Fair Oaks Ranch. The event brought together 52 Rotarians and guests, raising over $1,900 for the Rotary Foundation’s PolioPlus program.
District Governor Craig Hardy and his wife Carole, along with Executive Assistant Christine Tovar, joined Club Presidents Chris Taylor (Boerne), Ron Cisneros (Boerne Sunrise), Danny Nino (Dominion), and Will Winslett (Fair Oaks Ranch) for the evening of fellowship and fun.
Special thanks go to organizers Mary Thompson, Yvonne and Doug Duncan, Rick Swinghammer, Reg Cully, and lead coordinator Cha Karulak for making the event a success, and to Boerne Radio for their public service announcements.
DG Hardy shared a touching story about a childhood friend affected by polio, underscoring Rotary’s mission. Karulak expressed gratitude to attendees and emphasized how their contributions strengthen Rotary’s efforts to end polio worldwide.
