The Rotary Club of Boerne (Noontime) are the proud sponsors of Boerne Scout Troop 102 and Pack 102. Rotarian Rick Swinghamer is the Chartered Organization Representative of Troop 102 and Pack 102 in Boerne.
Rotarian John Peterson is the Assistant District Commissioner for the Scouts in the Boerne area and also serves as Chairman of the Eagle Scout Board of Review for the Boerne area. Nationally, Rotary Clubs have sponsored 1500 Scout groups. This partnership makes perfect sense given the shared values of the Scouts and the Rotary Clubs.
Recently, Scoutmaster Jeff Carroll and Committee Chair David Kirk gave a presentation to the Rotarians. They emphasized the focus of their organization on training young men to be leaders in their community who adhere to the Scout values of being trustworthy, honest, fair and helpful to others.
