In September, Rotarians Cynthia de Luna, who is the Youth Service Chair on the Del Rio Rotary Club Board of Directors, and Rey Sanchez, who is the Coordinator for the Crayola Club Project, distributed much needed school supplies to eight elementary schools in Del Rio. Rotarian Cheryl Johnson and TJ Moore Lumber Yard were also instrumental in the delivery of the school supplies.
Supplies donated included composition books, crayons, glue sticks, scissors, and other items. It also benefited the community by the Rotary Club purchasing the supplies locally at HEB. This project would not have taken place without the generous matching monetary contribution of The Bank & Trust.

Rotary Club member Rey Sanchez, who has been fully involved in this project for 15 years, said that the donation by the Rotary Club and The Bank & Trust is done in order to help the local children, not for the sake of recognition. Rotary Club President Chris Ryan said that Mr. Sanchez and Ms. de Luna are amazing Rotarians and have done much for the community over the years.
