The San Angelo Rotary Club, with support from a grant through Rotary District 5840, proudly partnered with the San Angelo Fire Department to help strengthen swiftwater rescue capabilities in the community. The donation of protective swiftwater rescue gear and a rescue boat — valued at more than $25,000 — will equip eight additional members of the SAFD swiftwater rescue team.
With this addition, the department now has a fully trained and equipped 16-member team ready to respond to water emergencies across San Angelo and the surrounding communities.
