Operation Gratitude sends care packages and provides volunteer opportunities to say thank you to deployed troops, veterans and first responders. Four different communities are served:
- Deployed troops: thousands of soldiers, airmen, sailors, marines, guardsmen, coast guards and national guardsmen receive care packages and other meaningful acts of gratitude
- Veterans: honoring those brave men and women who have selflessly served our nation
- First Responders: saying thank you to the millions of law enforcement, firefighters and EMTs who serve us and keep us safe here at home
- Military Families: the Battalion Buddy Program provides volunteer hand -stuffed bears to the children of military families, and the cuddly Battalion Buddies wear tags that say’ I am your Battalion Buddy,'; 'I’m here to keep you company while your Mom or Dad is away'; and 'I’m so excited to join your family’.San Antonio Airport and our Satellite Club Shield of Service are proud to support Operation Gratitude in all of their endeavors.
