The San Antonio Northeast Rotary Club held its first Zoom meeting on Tuesday, March 31, 2020. The main topic of discussion was what we could do as a club to help out our community during these trying times. The club members voted unanimously to donate $2,000 from the club’s checking account to the Texas Diaper Bank, so that diapers, wipes and feminine hygiene products could be purchased directly from the manufacturer.
The Texas Diaper Bank will then distribute the items to the community as needed.
The club held another Zoom meeting on Tuesday, April 14, 2020. Thanks go out to Preston McKinney for setting up this call for our club. The main topic of discussion was what else could we do as our club to help out our community during these unusual times. The club members voted to donate $1,000 from the club’s checking account to the San Antonio Food Bank. Thanks go out to club president Mike Canales for taking the lead on this donation.
