This holiday season, the Rotary Club of San Antonio South partnered with Salado Elementary to bring hope and joy to families in need. Recognizing the challenges faced by low-income households during this festive time, the Club organized a food distribution project to ensure that every family could enjoy a traditional holiday meal with dignity and joy.
The project focused on addressing the pressing issue of food insecurity, which becomes particularly acute during the holidays when expenses often pile up. Through this initiative, families who might have otherwise struggled to put food on the table were given the opportunity to celebrate the season without added financial strain.
“This was a wonderful project for our Club,” said a member. “It’s incredibly rewarding to know we were able to make a meaningful difference in our community, especially during such a special time of year.”
By providing food to families in need, the Rotary Club of San Antonio South exemplified the Rotary spirit of service above self, ensuring that no one in the community felt left behind during the holidays.
