For the 9th year, the Wimberley Rotarians set up tables on the Wimberley Square and at Deercreek Nursing Center on Halloween to hand out over 1200 new books and magazines to eager kids.
Trick-or-Read was the original project of the Wimberley Rotary Club that gave rise to their later signature branding of "Rotary Loves Readers" that now includes more than 18 annual literacy service projects.   Parents and teachers warmly welcome the books which create the early impression in young children that reading is a "treat."  Moreover, the children LOVE picking out their own books and look forward to the booth each year often coming back with reactions to share about previous reads.
