Telethon of Rotary Club of Del Rio
On December 7, the Del Rio Rotary Club supported the telethon sponsored by the Rotary Club of Cd. Acuña, Mexico. This fundraiser helps support the Club in distributing toys and food commodities to the colonias surrounding the city. 
Christmas Caroling Brings Cheer
Members of The Rotary Club of Boerne brought Christmas carols and cheer to seniors living at the Franklin Place Assisted Living Facility this past month. Tidings of Comfort and Joy aren't just for the children and everyone had a smile as they enjoyed these Rotarians putting "Service Above Self".

Fredericksburg-Nimitz Honors Legacy with $32,000 Donation to Fredericksburg Fire Department
Fredericksburg-Nimitz Club President Mike Strolle presents a check for $32,000 to Fredericksburg Volunteer Fire Department Captain Romney Kowert and Fire Dept VP Arron Kuhlmann. The funds were raised at the club's 3rd charity golf tournament in October.

Feeding the Hungry
In spite of a recent artic cold front, some Fair Oaks Ranch Rotarians collected food from the Fair Oaks HEB to deliver to the food bank at the Hill Country Daily Bread Ministries. This is part of the weekly service project the FOR Rotary Club has been undertaking for almost a year now.
Supporting the Hill Country Daily Bread Ministries 
Members from the Boerne High School Interact Club with support from the Boerne Sunrise Rotary Club volunteered during winter break at Hill Country Daily Bread Ministries (HCDBM) in Boerne. The Interactors were tasked with sorting “expired” bread and pastries items donated by HEB for distribution to local farmers and an animal rehabilitation center. Each food item was unwrapped and placed accordingly into large cardboard bins.

The Rotary Club of San Marcos sponsors its annual Casino Night fundraiser on Friday, February 28, at the Centex Wing of the Commemorative Air Force Museum at the San Marcos Airport. Each year the club dedicates 75 percent of proceeds from the event to a local nonprofit

Blanco County Club Collects Coats/Jackets/Blankets to help those in need stay warm 
The Rotary Club of Blanco County gathered three truck loads of coats, jackets and blankets from the Blanco County community to help keep those in need stay warm this winter. The Rotary Club placed marked boxes at public locations throughout Blanco and Johnson City November through January. The items were gathered up from the collection boxes by Rotarian Joe Kustelski who delivered them to the Episcopal Diocese of West Texas for the Plaza de Paz Respite Center located in San Antonio.

Blanco County Rotarians Judge Elementary Schools District UIL Competition
Sandy Switzer, Jack Twilley and Leta Garcia, Rotarians from the Blanco County Club, were judges for seven schools in UIL District Competition. Over 400 students from throughout the region competed. The Rotarians were judges for second grade storytelling and fourth grade oral reading and stated they enjoyed meeting each very talented contestant.
Fredericksburg Presents Hans Hanneman Award
On January 6, the Rotary Club of Fredericksburg presented its 2024-2025 Hans Hanneman Community Service Award to Bernice Weinheimer (second from right). The Hans Hanneman Award recognizes a nonRotarian in the community who exemplifies the Rotarian deal of "Service Above Self" in their vocational and community service.
