Brooke Ellerbe, a 2025 Honors Scholar graduate from the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA), has been selected as our 2025–2026 Rotary District Global Scholar. She will continue her academic journey at London Metropolitan University in the United Kingdom, where she will pursue a Master of Science in Public Health.

Rotary District 5840 is proud to support the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s® as a united district team. Together, Rotarians from across South Central Texas are joining forces to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support, and research.
Several Beeville Rotarians joined forces with local high school students (Interact students) and Hall-Rialto Preservation Association Board Members to clean the interior of the historic Hall-Rialto Theater in downtown Beeville. The theater is undergoing renovation, and regular thorough cleanings help move the project towards completion. The Beeville Rotary Service Committee donated snacks and numerous bottles of water to the volunteers.
The Rotary Club of Del Rio proudly donated $1,650 to the Youth Education Success (YES) Club. This program provides after-school tutoring and support to children, helping them succeed academically while also encouraging them to set reading goals and improve their skills. We are honored to support the YES Club as they continue making a positive impact on the lives of young students in our community.
San Antonio North Central Rotary recently visited the Ingram Volunteer Fire Department to donate 31 pairs of boots to their firefighters. This donation will help replace the boots that were damaged during the July 4th Hill Country Disaster.
To assist with the relief efforts for the flood victims from the July 4th weekend, the board of the Rotary Club of Blanco County made a decision to donate $25 per member out of existing club funds. When it was announced to the club that we would donate the funds, some of the members "stepped up" and donated between $100 and $1000 of their own money on top of the club funds.
The Rotary Club of Kerrville, in partnership with Schreiner University, hosted another successful Rise Against Hunger event in 2025, packaging 15,000 meals that will be distributed to communities facing food insecurity across the globe.
The Rotary Club of San Antonio, TX’s commitment to environmental sustainability -&- conservation shone through this month's Olmos Park cleanup in collaboration with River Aid San Antonio! With gloves, bags, grit and Teamwork, our #PeopleOfAction collected debris along the riverbank, helping preserve a vital natural resource in our beautiful City.
Rotary's Celebrate Community Week was held the week of September 14-20, 2025, as a collaborative effort with Kiwanis, Lions, and Optimist International to encourage joint community service projects. In San Marcos, Rotary joined with Kiwanis and two Lions Clubs to pack food for School Fuel, a nonprofit that provides food for the weekend for needy children with school meals are not available.
On Tuesday, September 16, 2025, Del Rio rotary hosted a remarkable event at Rotary Village. There, we unearthed the time capsule buried 25 years ago, in addition the City of Del Rio did a proclamation honoring the Rotary Club and its commitment to the community coinciding with the celebration of Mexico's Independence Day.
The Rotary Club of Blanco County now has a Medical Equipment Exchange Program in the blue building on 9th Street in Blanco. This is a service provided to the community, where citizens can BORROW or donate medical equipment such as walkers, canes, crutches, wheelchairs, shower benches/chairs, commode chairs, knee braces, etc.
The Jourdanton Rotary Club was so delighted to be able to continue our service tradition of delivering dictionaries and Constitutions to Jourdanton ISD and Charlotte ISD on September 23rd! Every third grade student received their very own dictionary and every eighth grader student received copies of our Constitution and Declaration of Independence.
The Rotary Club of San Antonio, TX gathered in purpose and fellowship with our partners at The Ecumenical Center, filling over 250 Hill Country Relief First Responder care kits with essential supplies, personal care items and hand-written notes of gratitude and encouragement. Rotarians then enjoyed a delightful tour of the Center’s art and music therapy rooms and Seeds of Hope Therapy Garden.
The West Kerr Noon Rotary Club made their annual delivery of dictionaries to the 3rd Grade Class of Ingram Elementary School. Rotary has been donating dictionaries to Ingram Elementary for over 20 years. This years 3rd graders were so excited that is was their turn.
The Beeville Rotary Club conducted its second annual towel drive collection under the direction of the club's service committee. Members of the Beeville Rotary Club, as well as friends of Rotary, collected more than 100 towels to support the local Methodist Church in providing free access to shower facilities for the homeless in the Beeville community.
The San Angelo Rotary club held its 2nd annual ‘Betting on bright futures Casino Night fundraiser on September 25 in San Angelo. Thousands of dollars were raised benefiting local and international Rotary projects.
San Marcos hosted a potluck fellowship dinner for club members and prospective members and their partners. Several Rotarians also exhibited their art, which was for sale, and a portion of the proceeds went to club service.
Fair Oaks Ranch Rotarian and City Mayor Greg Maxton reads a proclamation congratulating the Fair Oaks Ranch Homeowners Association during its 50th Anniversary Celebration on September 6th. Over a dozen Rotarians volunteered at the event that drew over 500 people.
