“Wave of Violence and Anguish Sweeps Dozens of US Cities”   This is the headline on May 31, 2020 describing racial demonstrations happening again in the United States of America.   These are the same United States of America where we are guaranteed Freedom of Speech, Freedom of Religion, Freedom of Assembly and Due Process of Law.

On May 20th, four of members of the Eagle Pass Rotary assisted with the emergency food distribution event for Maverick County.

Disaster Relief Grant for Covid-19: The Rotary Foundation $25,000 arrived May 29^th and the same day we mailed twelve checks to clubs for the total amount.  Our Foundation will aid people who depend on Food Banks in San Saba, Dripping Springs, Hondo, Wimberley and San Antonio.  Family violence prevention services will be aided.

The Texas Military Department (TMD) were in Fredericksburg, TX to conduct COVID-19 screenings for symptomatic patients on Tuesday, May 5, 2020. 

   The Rotary Club of Blanco County has reached out during this school year by providing hygiene kits for families in the Johnson City and Blanco Independent School Systems. 

The Fair Oaks Ranch Club annually provides Career and Technical Education Scholarships to high school seniors from the Boerne Independent School District.  This year it awarded three $2,000 scholarships and the winners were all from Boerne Champion High School.

Although the Rotary Club of Hondo-D’Hanis, like so many other organizations during the coronavirus outbreak, could not meet “in person,” its members continued their hard work to make a difference in the lives of many in the community.

Every year the Canyon Lake Rotary Club (The Club) gives out education scholarships to bright, intelligent and energetic youth in the area; and this is year is no exception.   

SA Northwest Rotary will be giving out their Awards for the Change Program @ Dellview Elementary via ZOOM this year.  Twenty (20) children qualified for the Awards and will receive a beautiful certificate and a 10” Tablet for all of their hard work. 

The Rotary Club of Blanco County recently announced the award of $1000 scholarships to four deserving high school seniors,

San Antonio North Central Rotary Club's Scholarship Chair -  Christine Gonzales Tovar presented yard signs to the 2020 Scholarship winners from Winston School San Antonio
