Join us for our FREE Club Leader Training Event which kicks-off on April 30 at 6pm-7pm for a Zoom Happy Hour. We will meet back up again on May 1 at 8:30AM where kick off our training with incoming District Governor Kristy VandenburgThis training is targeted for: President-Elect, Secretaries, Treasurers, Membership Chairs, Foundation Chairs, and Public Image Chairs. This is a free training event however you must register to receive the Zoom link. Members of the San Antonio Northeast Rotary Club volunteered this on Saturday, March 13th to pass out Cardboard Kids®.  Thanks go out to Debbie Degollado, Jordan Alonzo, Becky Robles and Dan Clark for distributing the two-foot tall cardboard figures.

Eleanor Kolitz Hebrew Language Academy Food Collection
Eleanor Kolitz Hebrew Language Academy (EKHLA) has found ways to help the community in spite of COVID-19. This is their second food drive for the San Antonio Food Bank. EKHLA  also turned in a donation of approximately 200 dental care items for the families in Guatemala who live in the city's garbage dump.

Kerrville Morning Rotary Awards $2,000 to Christian Women’s Job Corps
 
The Rotary Club of Kerrville-Morning (Morning Rotary) recently awarded $2,000 to the Christian Women’s Job Corps of Kerr County (CWJC) to fund computer upgrades. Morning Rotarian and Club Treasurer, Waverly Jones, initiated a successful district grant request for $1,000 which was matched by Morning Rotary

R.A.T. Race    * Red Arroyo Trail
San Angelo Sunrise Rotary will be hosting their second annual 5K Run & Walk R.A.T. Race, on the * Red Arroyo Trail, in San Angelo, Texas, April 24, 2021. Our first R.A.T. Race was held in April 2019, with Meals for the Elderly as our designated charity.

Wilson School Interact Club Tolietry Drive
The Winston School Interact Club collected toothpaste, toothbrushes and dental floss for the families who live in the city dump in Guatemala City, Guatemala. The club started their drive in  October 2020 and collected over 700 toiletry items.

Helping Those In Need
On August 23rd, Randolp Metrocom was notified that we had been approved for a $1000 District Grant that allowed us to send a total of $2000 to this club so they could provide their local communities with 6 hand washing stations. One of our newest members, Arturo Arredondo, let us know that his previous club (Rotary Club of Piura Oeste in Peru) had a need and were were happy to help fill that need!  
Scramble 4 Scholarships Golf Tournament
You're invited to join the Rotary Club of San Marcos for their Scramble 4 Scholarships Golf Tournament on May 14, 2021. Both Sponsors and players wanted! Quicksand Golf Course (Woodcreek) Wimberley, registration is from 11:45AM to12:45PM. 1:00 pm Shotgun start (everyone goes to an assigned hole and all golfers begin at approximately the same time).  For more information contact, Scott Yarbrough 512­-214-8730 (Chair).

meet their annual fundraising drive ending March 31st, the Fredericksburg Nimitz Rotary club sold BBQ plates in conjunction with Texas Heritage Vineyards "Alamo Hero's Day" celebration on March 6th, raising over $1,000.

City Wide Easter Egg Hunt
Elaine Paske, Chairman of City Park Board getting ready to hide eggs for the City Wide Easter Egg hunt. Prizes of bicycles.  Small rocking horse and many other various prizes. All made possible from donations of which Ballinger Rotary Club donated $500.00.
Fighting Hunger and Feeding Hope
On March 6, 2021 the Rotary Club of Alamo Ranch presented an $820.00 check to the San Antonio Food Bank. For every $1 raised, they are able to provide 7 meals to families in San Antonio and Southwest Texas, that's 5,740 meals!

Vaccination Site Volunteers in Eagle Pass
On March 6th, Rotarians, Elias Diaz and Clelia Valdes, volunteered to register citizens for vaccinations at the International Center for Trade in Eagle Pass.  As a result of their donation of time along with many other volunteers, 1200 vaccinations were given out that day.
