Cruise Raffle: The drawing will be May 2, as printed on the tickets, and instructions were sent in March to all clubs about where to send the stubs for the drawing. The winners will receive Royal Caribbean vouchers with no expiration dates; so, you may be using it two or three years from now. All money goes to The Rotary Foundation--same as your personal contributions.
Rotary International just announced that the Rotary International Convention, scheduled for 6-10 June 2020, in Honolulu, Hawaii, USA, has been canceled in response to the ongoing threat of COVID-19. Read more at riconvention.org
Rotary Club of San Saba partnered up with the United Methodist Church, The Central Texas Food Bank, and other members of the community to distribute food to over 300 families this morning. This was especially helpful to the community because their only grocery store burned down last week.
In their efforts to promote literacy in their community, the Eagle Pass Rotary Club as well as the CC Winn and Eagle Pass High School Interact Clubs read Dr. Seuss books to the students of Ray H. Darr Elementary.
During the District 5840 Youth Exchange Committee Outbound Orientation, outbound and inbound students performed a service project consisting of assembling book shelves and labeling books for Book Buddies, a Literacy Project of the Rotary Club of Fredericksburg.
Annabelle Heins, from Belgium, hosted by the Rotary Club of Fredericksburg, enjoyed the privilege of visiting the Von Netzer Ranch at Luckenbach, Texas, owned and operated by Rotarian Garet Von Netzer.

The Rotary Club of San Marco awarded $20,000 in scholarships to SMHS and Academy seniors. $17,500 of the money came from income from our local Rotary Foundation endowment. The other $2500 was added by their Board of Directors at their meeting earlier in March.

GVTC foundation donated $3000 for the Rotary Club of Blanco County April fundraiser. The Rotary Club of Blanco County is so very grateful for all of the support the GVTC foundation has given us over our first year of activation.With their support we have been able to continue our Hygiene kits for Johnson city and Blanco City needy children.
During the period of March 6-8, 2020, members of the District 5840 Youth Exchange Committee, assisted by four inbound Rotary Exchange Students, conducted an extensive orientation for 13 students from throughout District 5840
As a result of the current COVID -19 situation in the US, the 2020 San Antonio Fiesta celebration has been postponed until early November 2020. As one of the larger official Fiesta San Antonio events, Alamo Heights Night 2020 will be one of the events postponed.
Congratulations to Mr. Caleb Hall! Mr. Hall, who is the Math Department Chair, the Head Girls Basketball Coach as well as the Pole Vault Coach at Wimberley High School, was recognized as the Rotary Club of Wimberley’s Teacher of the Month.
