DG Kristy Vandenberg's January Message
I hope that everyone had a wonderful Christmas and New Year!  The District has grown by a net of 14 members, as of 12/31/21, after many clubs purged their membership prior to January 1st.  This is a shout-out to the clubs with positive growth:  Ballinger, Blanco, Boerne Noon, Brady, Canyon Lake, Del Rio, Fair Oaks, Fbg Morning, Fbg Nimitz, Fbg Noon, Hondo D'Hanis, New Braunfels Downtown, Poteet, Rancolph Metrocom, San Antonio Airport, San Antonio Alamo Ranch, San Antonio Mission Trail, San Antonio, Northeast, San Antonio Oak Hills, San Marcos & San Saba. 
January Is Human Trafficking Awareness Month
Every year since 2010, January has been proclaimed as National Slavery and Human Trafficking Prevention Month.  Take time in January to learn more about human trafficking and action steps your Rotary Club and each Rotarian can take to prevent human trafficking.
Donor Advised Fund Reaches Major Milestones
In the first half of this Rotary Year, the Donor Advised Fund (DAF) has authorized $11,800.76 in matching grants. That means, as a minimum, during this Rotary Year, the DAF has helped facilitate $23,601.52 in humanitarian projects, to better our world through Rotary.
SA South Brought Santa to Pre-K for SA Campus
The Rotary Club of San Antonio South sponsored two families for Christmas. Both families have children that attend the Pre-K for SA South Education Center.
San Saba/Brady World's Greatest Meal
December 7th, the Rotary Club of San Saba and the Rotary Club of Brady celebrated with a Combined Holiday Party at the Pecan House Grill in San Saba.

San Marcos Raises $8,000 for Polio Plus
San Marcos Rotary raised $8,000 for Polio Plus with a "hair raisin" fundraiser.

Toy Round-UP for Brown Santa!
The Rotary Club of Hondo-D'Hanis was busy gathering toys for the Medina County Sheriff's Brown Santa program.
San Marcos 100th Anniversary Banquet
The Rotary Club of San Marcos celebrates its 100th Anniversary on January 14, 2022 with a banquet at the Embassy Suites Ballroom in San Marcos.

Dellview Elementary Math and Science Night
Northwest supports Dellview Elementary School through the year.
Annual Breakfast With Santa
Fair Oaks Ranch Rotary Club members assisted the Boerne Noon Rotary Club with their annual Breakfast with Santa community project.
Wimberly Rotary Supports The Community
Members of the Rotary Club of Wimberley met with District Governor Kristy Vandenberg on Tuesday, December 14, 2021. 

Paul Harris Awards
At the Fredericksburg-Nimitz club's annual Christmas Party, several people were surprised by Ralph Bowen when he offered some of his many points to bridge other members so they could receive their Paul Harris awards. 
Piedras Negras Trip
The Fredericksburg-Nimitz club purchased toys for the children of Piedras Negras and made the annual trip down there for distribution of the toys along with a medical wellness check for the children.
How To Help Victims in Western Kentucky
You can help victims in Western Kentucky through donations to the Rotary District 671 Foundation Relief Fund or if you want to drop off supplies, contact Kaytlin Flowers at 270-287-2214.
Jean Drive For the Homeless
San Antonio Rotary is holding a jeans drive for the homeless served by Corazon Ministries at Travis Park Churh. It runs through Jan 21 and jeans can be dropped at the following locations:
Share the Joy!
The Rotary Club of Hondo-D'Hanis was busy shopping & wrapping toys, purchasing Christmas trees and preparing food baskets for 27 families in our Communities.
Kingdom for Kids at CASA
On November 19th and 20th over 300 Volunteers from the Rotary Club of San Antonio joined to add the following new amenities to the Kingsom fo Kids at CASA  …a beautiful reading theater, 2 new playgrounds, a soccer field, a new basketball court, beautiful murals now adding color and message and a gazebo garden. 
New Paul Harris Society Member
Tom McKeown, Fair Oaks Ranch Rotary Club Foundation Chair, proudly presents the club's newest members of the Paul Harris Society > Clifton and Marie Lewis.
18th Annual Sparkle of the Season Awards
The Alamo Heights Rotary Club completed its 18th Annual Sparkle of the Season award contest to recognize the best decorated residences in Alamo Heights.
