PASSPORT CLUB INFO SHEET

Passport clubs are designed to be flexible, affordable and accessible to people who want to be Rotarians but find that the traditional clubs don’t fit their lifestyle.

A unique element of a Passport Club is that they have fewer in-person meetings. Instead of weekly meetings, members have a “passport” to visit other Rotary Clubs when they desire to do so and participate in activities and projects that interest them. Passport Club members are “trailblazers” in an exciting and evolving Rotary organization.

The goal of a Passport Club is to encourage its members to engage with other Rotary clubs and share their talents and skill with other Rotarians. This exchange creates a dynamic and creative environment for members to develop their leadership skills, encourage innovative approaches to problem-solving and enhance the Public Image of Rotary in their communities. The Passport Club member enjoys the better of two worlds…their club and the host club they visit.

Who should join a Passport Club:
  • Former Rotary members who are ready to rejoin
  • Members of the Rotary family, including Rotaractors, Alumni of Rotary programs such as Exchange students, RYLA  participants, and scholarship recipients
  • Young people who are early in their careers and /or have young families
  • Retirees who have time and talent and desire to give back to the community
