Thinking Locally or Globally? Seeing the Bigger Picture in Rotary
During a recent member satisfaction survey, one anonymous comment stood out: a new-ish member expressed that they didn’t see Rotary as a good fit and felt that the organization wasn’t doing much. This feedback made us realize that they likely weren’t seeing the bigger picture of Rotary’s impact.
Our meetings often focus on local initiatives, which are important, but they don’t always showcase the incredible work Rotary is doing on a global scale—eradicating polio, providing clean water, supporting education, and so much more. New members, in particular, may not yet understand the full scope of Rotary’s mission beyond their immediate community.
To help members have that “Oh, I get it now!” moment, it’s essential to share Rotary’s broader impact. A great place to start is the Rotary Brand Center, where you can access and show short videos in a meeting by tapping into these tools, we can help every member feel more connected—not just to their local club, but to a worldwide network of change-makers.
