The Rotary Club of Uvalde marked a joyful milestone on June 19, 2025, with the groundbreaking of a $1.8 million splash pad at El Jardín de los Héroes Park. Entirely funded by Ox Ranch, in partnership with the Rotary Club and the City of Uvalde, the 4,200-square-foot play area will feature animal-themed designs and a recycled water system.

Built by Strickland Construction and Kraftsman Commercial Playgrounds, the project includes five years of covered maintenance. The well-attended event featured Rotary-provided snow cones from Below Zero to the community. This splash pad is part of Rotary’s broader vision for community growth and economic development, aiming to attract families, boost local tourism, and foster healing and connection. Scheduled for completion by December, it promises a vibrant new hub for fun and community pride.
