The San Antonio Airport Rotary club teamed up with Petri's Place Wildlife Rehab to host a Nocturnal Nights event at the rehab center Saturday, August 10th, 2024. Petri's Place is located in the Southeast side of San Antonio where over an acre of sanctuary space has been created for native urban wildlife to recover and thrive.

Wildlife rehabilitation centers are self funded and rely heavily on the public's assistance in order to provide care and attention to injured and wounded wildlife. The event allowed the public (and brave Rotarians) to meet and even handle wildlife who live at the sanctuary. Allowing the public this type of hands on experience helps to spread the message of the importance of preserving out wild animal populations. We are friends of the wild.
