The Rotary Club of San Antonio has a long history of supporting the educational needs of the students of San Antonio. We are proud to support 72 students this year through our three signature programs.
Through the Sam J. Riklin Rotary Diploma Plus program our club supports 50 students at $1,000 each. Diploma Plus encourages students to stay in school to complete their high school education. Recipients earn a stipend if they adhere to strict academic and attendance guidelines.
The Youth Education Foundation was established in 1921. We are proud to support existing college students and offer our Diploma Plus students assistance as they pursue their educational goals. This year we awarded 17 scholarships totaling $38,000.
Norman Vestal Memorial Scholarships are awarded to high school students who plan to pursue a career in agribusiness or agriculture. With the help of a District Grant we were able to support five students for a total of $5,000.
