San Marcos Rotary donated $5,000 to the San Marcos Greenbelt Alliance, $2,500 of which came from a Rotary District 5840 Grant. Most of the money was used to purchase attachments for a Bobcat Skid Steer to help construct a new trail to the underserved Dunbar neighborhood.
In the future the equipment will help the SMGA drill holes in the famously hard hill country limestone rock and caliche to facilitate trail construction and repair, build kiosks at the trail heads, plant trees, and add fencing and signposts where needed. smgreenbelt.org
