District 5840 is pleased to announce the chartering of its newest Rotary club. The Rotary Club of Wilson County was officially chartered on January 5, 2026, with an initial membership of 19 charter members.

ROTARY CASINO NIGHT HONORS DICK BURDICK WITH SCHOLARSHIP AT TEXAS STATE. The Rotary Club of San Marcos is hosting a Mardi Gras theme Casino Night fundraiser on Friday, February 13 from 6:30 to 10 p.m. La Cima will serve as the Presenting Sponsor for the event.
Rotarians bundled up on a chilly morning to pick up litter and debris as part of the Fair Oaks Ranch Community's Adopt-A-Highway project. Their efforts helped keep local roadways clean and demonstrated Rotary’s ongoing commitment to service above self.
The Thursday Morning Rotary Club of Fredericksburg sponsored an entire day of bell ringing for the local Salvation Army chapter in Fredericksburg. The Salvation Army "Red Kettle" program helps those with emergency needs in Gillespie County.

On January 5 The Rotary Club of Blanco County partnered with Trinity Lutheran Church and provided an appreciation lunch for Blanco ISD teachers, staff and administrators - welcoming them back for the second half of the 2025-2026 school year. The employees were given tickets for a chance to win gift cards and prizes and the youth Sunday school classes made goody bags for each teacher. The BISD employees were thanked for all they do to support the students! Pictured are employees who won prizes during the luncheon.
The Rotary Club of Fredericksburg hosts its 12th annual Cupid’s Bow Bash on Friday, February 13. This year’s theme is “Cupid Comes To Fredericksburg.” The event features a multicourse catered dinner, live music performed by Bob Appel, a traditional country singer based in Austin, and his band. There also will be prize ticket giveaways and a silent auction.

Might not sound like much, but those are HUGE numbers when you’re packing food at the San Antonio Food Bank where we sorted between 6 and 7 tons of vital support for those struggling with hunger in our community. Founded in 1980, the San Antonio Food Bank serves one of the largest and most diverse service areas and supports 100,000 residents every week.
