Just a few short notes to let everyone know that the Charter application HAS been sent to Rotary International.  Now we WAIT.  Our Charter name will be "The Rotary Club of District 5840 to Combat Human Trafficking".  This is very exciting and all of us need to thank Kristy Vandenberg, DG - Greg Maxton, President - Mary Thompson, Membership Chair and of course Kathy Hubbard, PDG along with the entire membership of Fair Oaks Ranch Rotary Club for their tremendous amount of support from the beginning of this journey all the way to Charter time.
On another note, we will have an IN-PERSON get-together on Monday May 9th @ 12pm at Outback Steak-House in San Antonio This will be very informal, NO speaker and NO Zoom will be set up.  If you are available and can be in attendance please let me know in advance so I can have a correct number for lunch at least by May 8th.  We will miss ALL that lives out of town and cannot attend but hope to meet each of you whenever possible. We will try to have an In-Person meet and greet for Membership at least once per quarter - the more WARRIORS against Human Trafficking we sign up - THE BETTER and stronger we are.
Ransomed Life - NO CHILD SOLD!
Really looking forward to this great Program and thanks to you Susan Burkholder for setting up all of our wonderful programs.  Zoom Link below:

Combat Human Trafficking Rotary Club Presentation

The purpose of this presentation is to provide basic information about labor trafficking and sex trafficking in our district and beyond; as well as to dispel common myths about human trafficking. The presentation is also intended to provide Rotary Clubs and Rotarians in District 5840 with information about the Mission and Focus of the D5840 Combat Human Trafficking Club; as well as suggestions about what each Rotary Club and Individual Rotarian can “DO” to Combat Human Trafficking.
